MAY 29
The end of the month is drawing near, I can hardly believe it! Well this past weekend was YC (youth conference) here in Edmonton and oh boy was it NUTS!! quite a few good bands there this year, Newsboys, Audio Adrenalin, Thousand Foot Krutch, Barlow Girl Chris Tomlin and many others. I was there with Compassion Canada and we had a great time getting kids sponsored!! At the final count there was 668 children sponsored!!! Yeah for all who attended and sponserd a child. Mind there will be some decions to return the child packets so there may not be quite that many in about a month or so, I will let you know when I know.
Hey just FYI a good song that I am totally in LOVE with right now

MAY 24
Tonight was my 3rd spanish class, it was fun but we learned a lot tonight. We learned the feminine and masculine words and plurals for each, plus we learned the months of the year, the days of the week, the seasons, and how to tell time. That is a lot to remember!! Anyways Christie and I had a few good laughs tonight in class and I was reading an article in Junes edition of Readers Digest and thought that I would share it with all.
According to experts, a child laughs between 200-400 times a day. Adults, a mere 15 times. We're not kidding and that's too bad. Laughter does your body good. In fact, if you're unable to exersize for whatever reason-illness, injury, sports bra's in the wash-laughter's not a bad substitute. Like exersise, it brings more oxygen into your lungs, lowers blood pressure, protect's your hearts lining from inflammation and boosts your immune system so viruses, bacteria and tumours won't get the best of you. Plus, when you laugh out loud, your abdomen and diapragm contract, your liver gets a massage, your facial muscles stretch and your back and shoulders unkink. It's like halph a day spa for your upper body and doesn't cost a cent!
Now if you ask me I think that I must laugh WAY more than 15 times a day, I am sure that because I am a kid person I find things to be funnier then most "normal" people would not find as funny. Anyways God too says that laughter is good, check it out

A ceerful heart is good medicine,
but a crused spirit dries up the bones.

MAY 21
In order to love anything you must first realize that you can lose it.
Seen on a sign in front of the United church by my house.

MAY 20
Well I was on such a roll with this when I first started and I am slowly seeming to forget to write. I have been keeping busy with my job though I do not enjoy it all that much. I was hoping to make this blog meaningful and full of deep thoughts and stuff but it is not turning out how I expected yet I do not mind it. I have one thing that I am going to put in, a poem. I LOVE poems and songs those are the things that speak to me the most. Anyways here is one for you all.
The river flows past
In a gentle cascade
And into the sunset
The river seems to fade.
I want to jump in
But don't know where it'll lead
A small voice says have faith
It's your voice I hear and heed.
I gentky step into the water
And immediately feel your peace
The tranquil water flows over me
My world seems to cease.
In the midst of your lovingkindness
I sit down in the stream
And as your warmth envelops me
You are there as if a dream.
You take my hand in love
And say walk with me a while
I confidently reach up to take it
As you look down at me and smile.

MAY 12
Well, I am sooooo glad it is friday. I am extremely tired today, I will be rested by tomorrow. I have to tell y'all about my birthday. I was in the process of writing on the 10th and was asked to 'help' Lori with something in the communications room at the church and found about 12-14 people in there with a birthday card and cake for me. It was so nice and I loved it but with all that attention on me I was very embarrassed. I was shaking. Then one of my friends took me for lunch, it was a little rushed in that she had to be back at a certain time but I always love going out and talking with this person. Plus the fact that Lori had planned this thing for me at the church, she is sooo awesome too. I am happy that there are people out there that love me, not that I really doubted it, but every once in while it is really good to hear and know. Then yesterday after work my mom, bro and sis went out to Capilano and I got a new pair of shoes, though I do need another pair, then today after work mom and I went out shopping as I had recieve a gift certificate for Michaels from the church staff. So I went and spent it easily though I wanted one of my friends to be there but I did not call her and did not wait, so I will shop with her some other time there. Well for all those who read that that were involved in my b-day THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and those who sent me cards and ecards I really appreciate the love, thanks to you all. HAPPY MAY!!

"Keep on loving each other as brothers (sisters). Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some people have entertained angels without knowing it."
HEBREWS 13:1-2
Can you imagine!! Entertaining angels, wouldn't that be AWESOME to know that you were in the presence of an angel, someone who has been close to God and walked in heaven. O man I can't even fathom that. I hope that if I ever have the privilage of being visited by and angel that they would tell me.

When you bow down before the Lord and admit your dependance on Him, He will lift you up and give you honor.
James 3:10
I am trying to trust that God knows what he is doing with my life, and like most people I tend to think that I know better. Which is TOTALLY wrong but it is so hard sometimes, to be patient and wait or to be in a place that WE may not think is the right place and feel the need to move on. All I want to do is be in Gods plan and do what His will is but I do not know what that looks like for me. I pray about it and sometimes move in the direction that I feel is right only to find out that it was wrong or that I thought was wrong and got out as soon as I could. I am just still a little lost as to where I should be or if this is where I am supposed to be at this time. And to top it all off I am such a spontaneous person that a lot of the time I do not think before I do things and usually end up in trouble yet, God always seems to provide for me at the right time, you'd think that He would get tired of always rescuing me, but I am sure glad that He does! Good night and Blessings on all who read this.

MAY 6
"Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we may grow in wisdom."
Psalm 90:12
I have been wondering lately, HOW do we make the most of our time? What does that look like? Is that volunteering more, spending more time with friends and family, reading the Bible and spending more time with God? Maybe a bit of all of the above. But what happens when you can't do any of them and you have nothing to do? Pray? I guess that is good but is that making the most of our time, I guess I just do not understand. I wish that I could be a little smarter so that I can understand things better, I feel like most of the time I am not on the level that maybe I should be. I LOVE to learn and to make things understandable for me and get excited when it happens but there just seem to so many more things that I do not understand. Especially in the Bible and everything to do with it, I sometimes wish that I could just literally ask the questions that I need to and feel free to argue my point without feeling like I should know things by now. Plus, sometimes I just need time to pull together what I am trying to say because I am not all that great with talking as far as eloquence and being able to make my point understood. ANYWAYS, all that was just me, whatever. But I truly Pray that I am making good of my time and not wasting it on futile things, what is God going to say about my life when I actually see Him. What will he say about how I acted, or what or how I said things, or what I did or did not do with my life. As most people I hope that in the end he will say, Well done my GOOD and FAITHFUL servant. I am going to end with a song that I learned when I was little off of a Psalty tape that I had and I still LOVE this song and sing it sometimes.......
"Make me a servant, humble and meek
Lord let me lift up, those who are weak
And may the prayer of my heart always be....
Make me a servant, Make me a servant
Make me a servant, today....
And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
Mark 10:44
